What is Techno Bohemia?
Techno Bohemia is a group of talented folk in a little known mountain valley that need to be noticed. Writers, actors, painters, sculptors, revolutionaries, and madmen come together to show off their art online because there is so little opportunity here in Johnson City, Tennessee. Techno Bohemia attacks hypocrisy and celebrates what's odd or exciting. It is a community of people reaching out trying to find others that don't quite fit in. It's a place where we celebrate the creative spirit with sarcasm and fart jokes. Techno Bohemia is always changing, but always the same. I am the Ringmaster, your host. The Internet is like Crab Fishing
You invest in a boat in the vast Bearing Sea, throw out a few test pots, to decide where you can catch the most, then you throw the pots into the sea to let them soak. The goal is to find just the right spot to capture the most crab with the right bait. You reel in the pots and try to keep that string going as long as you can. Once you're 'on the crab' the money keeps rolling in, but if you can't find them, you're done because you can't pay the bills anymore.
I've been watching too much Deadliest Catch.
Marvel Zombies Fan Film
A pretty cool fan film based on the comic, Marvel Zombies Ate My Neighbors! has everything I like: superheroes AND zombies!

Consolidation
I am going to discontinue my "Ringmaster Compendium" blog. I installed a script that denied me access to the admin section a few weeks ago, and I really don't think it gets enough traffic to justify fixing it. I will start posting my blog items here, at Techno Bohemia, and over at my tech blog at Ten Million Years to Earth.
I heartily encourage other TechBo regulars to post their thoughts right here on the TechBo main page. I have a few editorial notes I'll put in the forum soon regarding content and layout, but otherwise, the sky is the limit.

Techno Bohemia Needs YOU!
The plan has been tweaked a bit. The guys have put me back on track.
I have so many ideas that I am passionate about, I tend to flail about wanting to do them all until the guys sit me down and say, "focus!" Last night they had an intervention, so we're on the right path again!
We are producing new short videos this summer starting next week! First in production will be "Pocket Redshirts," which will probably go to DragonCon TV! This year, we aren't limiting ourselves to DCTV style parody, we are making some of the horror shorts that were started last fall as well as a couple special projects for friends.

Mr. Ninja Goes to School
A ninja walked onto the ETSU campus this morning carrying a briefcase. Not a joke!
A student decided that it would be funny to walk to class wearing a full ninja outfit. He made it a few blocks before someone reported a masked man in black carrying a briefcase approaching a campus building. Before he reached the middle of campus, public safety intercepted him. Just a kid, he only thought of the humor in dressing as a legendary assasin and not the climate of fear escalated by recent years of campus shootings. Nor did he consider the hysteria brewed on the ETSU campus a couple months ago that stemmed from a wrong-number threatening phone call left on a campus office voice mail that was responded to a full day later. Public safety weren't going to miss another threat, and this poor dummy, face covered, dressed in the gi of a steath killer fit the profile of a campus shooter.

Finally, nice weather! Combine that with the fact that I am too broke to afford distractions and you find a Ringmaster hard at work on a few projects! I'm still chipping away with a dramatic podcast series. This time, it's looking closer than ever. I have 2 actors firmly in mind and I just finished chatting with someone who can provide some cool shooting locations. I've got an army of folks wanting to be zombies, so how could I disappoint those dear, sweet, little undead faces? Writing continues.
